Compare Manchester airport parking

Meet & Greet, Park & Ride and official parking at Manchester — real operators, live prices, book in under a minute.

Manchester is the UK's third-busiest airport and one of the most changed in 2026. Terminal 1 closed in late 2025, most airlines moved to the expanded Terminal 2, and Ryanair now uses the rebranded Terminal 3. On top of that, every official car park was renumbered P1–P16 from March 2026 — so an old booking that says "T2 East Multi Storey" is the same place as P1, just with new signage.

None of this should put you off pre-booking. Manchester still has one of the widest ranges of Meet & Greet and Park & Ride in the UK, and the gap between advance rates and turn-up prices is enormous — the airport itself quotes savings of up to 77% when you book ahead.

Easily reached from the M56 and M60, MAN is the international gateway for Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire. Off-site compounds around Wythenshawe and Altrincham offer competitive rates with shuttle links to each terminal.

Which Manchester terminal am I flying from?

Check your latest airline confirmation, not paperwork from last year:

  • Terminal 2 — the transformed "super terminal," now handling the vast majority of airlines (easyJet, Jet2, TUI, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic and many more). If you're not on Ryanair, you're almost certainly here.
  • Terminal 3 — the renamed former Terminal 1. Ryanair is the main tenant, along with a small number of other budget carriers.
  • Terminal 1 — closed. If anything still says T1, verify with your airline before you travel.

Parking choice follows the terminal. T2 passengers typically use P1 (Meet & Greet / multi-storey east), P3 (west multi-storey, now barrierless) or JetParks shuttles. T3 passengers look at P14 (multi-storey), P15 (mid stay) or the Drop & Go options — note that official T3 Meet & Greet (P13) stopped accepting new bookings from late March 2026, with Drop & Go Express (P10) recommended as an alternative for a similar hand-your-keys experience.

Understanding the new P1–P16 car park numbers

From 5 March 2026, Manchester Airport replaced legacy car park names with a numbered system to simplify wayfinding after the terminal reshuffle. Your booking is still valid — only the signs changed. Key mappings worth knowing:

  • P1 — Terminal 2 Meet & Greet / former T2 East Multi Storey (closest self-park walk to T2 check-in)
  • P3 — T2 West Multi Storey — barrierless from 25 March 2026 (ANPR entry/exit, pay online — no on-site machines)
  • P5–P8 — JetParks long-stay (budget Park & Ride with free shuttle, pre-book only, typically 3-day minimum)
  • P14 — T3 Multi Storey (closest on-airport self-park for Terminal 3)
  • P16 — Drop & Go (hand keys, short walk to T3)

Independent off-airport Park & Ride sites along the A538 remain popular for longer trips — compare transfer frequency and reviews, not just the headline price.

How much does Manchester airport parking cost?

Realistic pre-booked ranges for 2026 (7-day trip, off-peak, booked several weeks ahead):

  • JetParks / independent Park & Ride: from around £40–£55
  • On-airport multi-storey (P1, P3, P14): from around £60–£90
  • Meet & Greet / Drop & Go: from around £70–£110

School holidays, October half-term and Christmas push these up sharply. Manchester is also busy for football weekends and concert traffic — if your dates are fixed, book early. Turn-up rates at the barrier can be several times the pre-booked price for the same stay.

Your journey at Manchester

Practical guidance for drop-off and collection. Exact meeting points are always on your operator voucher.

Where to meet

Your confirmation voucher shows the exact operator Meet & Greet point or Park & Ride reception for Manchester. Arrive at the booked time and follow the operator’s signs — not the public short-stay car parks unless told otherwise. A2Z is the booking agent; the operator handles the day-of service.

Terminal map

Check which terminal your airline uses before you leave home. Operator Meet & Greet and shuttle routes differ by terminal at larger airports — using the wrong terminal delays handover.

Directions

Follow airport “Departures” then operator instructions on your voucher. Keep the operator phone number handy for the last 15–20 minutes of your drive.

Traffic tips

Build in extra time at peak holiday weekends and early mornings. Roadworks and airport drop-off congestion are the most common causes of late arrival.

Arrival instructions

On landing, collect bags then call the number on your voucher. For Meet & Greet, wait at the agreed collection point; for Park & Ride, use the shuttle back to the compound.

Departure instructions

Allow time to hand over keys or catch the shuttle before airline check-in closes. Have your booking reference and vehicle registration ready.

Manchester airport parking FAQs

Will my old Manchester parking booking still work after the renumbering?

Yes. The physical car park hasn't moved — only the signage now shows a P number instead of the old name. Follow the P number on your confirmation.

Which terminal does Ryanair use at Manchester?

Terminal 3 — the renamed former Terminal 1. Allow a few extra minutes if you're used to the old layout.

Is Meet & Greet still available at Manchester T3?

Official T3 Meet & Greet (P13) stopped taking new bookings from late March 2026. Drop & Go Express (P10) or independent Meet & Greet operators are the usual alternatives — confirm terminal coverage at booking.

What's the cheapest Manchester parking option?

Pre-booked JetParks or independent Park & Ride is typically cheapest for stays of a week or more. Factor in shuttle time — usually 5–15 minutes each way depending on the site.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Call the operator number on your confirmation. Meet & Greet providers coordinate returns to your actual landing time, not your scheduled departure.
